After 3 miscarriages, the Zuckerbergs are finally expecting a girl

"It's a lonely experience," writes Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, about his wife Priscilla Chan's three miscarriages. Great news is that the interracial couple announced that they are now expecting a girl.

The announcement was made by Zuckerberg who posted a long Facebook update about it. In his message he also shared the struggles he and Chan endured after the three miscarriages Chan had over the years.

"Most people don't discuss miscarriages because you worry your problems will distance you or reflect upon you -- as if you're defective or did something to cause this. So you struggle on your own... In today's open and connected world, discussing these issues doesn't distance us; it brings us together. It creates understanding and tolerance, and it gives us hope," he wrote.

His announcement on Friday stirred thousands of congratulatory messages with some being personal stories from other women who have experienced miscarriages. Apparently, the baby gave him a "thumbs up 'like' with her hand" during the ultrasound.

Zuckerberg and Chan's relationship is one of the relationships that stirred negative comments and stereotypes online.
