Racial and ethnic minorities are geographically dispersed throughout the United States, with Hispanics and Asians being the fastest growing minority groups in the United States as a whole.
What do you think may have caused such an increase in immigrants? Being Brazillian-Italian raised in America, I think am reason enough. I am a product of procreating immigrants :-)

Given the growth rate above, it means that, the Non-Hispanic White (European- American according to our polls) population seems to be having the lowest growth rate hence the answer.
With such racial diversity in the US, one tends to wonder why there still is racism. And with most of the immigrants having relationships with native Americans, and procreating with native Americans, why is it that interracial relationships and moreso mixed race individuals are still being looked at with such prejudice?
Although racism has become increasingly salient in the context of the dramatic increase in racial and ethnic diversity in the United States, it’s my hope that in years to come, we will have to learn to live adventurously and courageously in human relationships, as we are learning to do in the realms of international relations and interplanetary space.

Hello: As a 5th or 6th generation Caucasian male descendant of immigrants of European descent, to the extent that I can, I apologize for those intolerant Americans that resort to racist, condescending comments because they are otherwise unable to express themselves. Please give me the consideration and respect I give you. I participate in this discussion to promote reasoned dialogue. I am not against immigration, I am against illegal immigration. As for colors, I only discriminate on one color, green - If you have the long green (money). it is all good, if you do not, it is not so good. I am for immigration for 4 reasons: I am for immigration for the very fact that the original writer pointed out in generality. The specifics are that a civilization, culture or country needs a couple fertility rate of 2.1 to maintain its population. And the US has less than a 2.1 couple fertility rate. If we don't allow immigrants to offset that decline, the American culture will decline. 2) Cultural diversity increases synergy. Different cultures think about things different ways. Sometimes another culture offers a perspective that is a better way to solve a problem. And, their may be scientific, intellectual, cultural or just plain trade skills that immigrants can bring to the USA to increase the overall competitiveness of the USA. 3) Genetic Diversity - Without departing from decorum may I just suggest you research hybrid vigor and the increasing detrimental effects of the lack of genetic diversity in all the worlds organisms, including humans. (Cloning could be the end of mankind yet) 4) I just like the idea of preserving the American Dream for legal immigrants so that they might come to our country and try to achieve a better life. All that having been said, in frightens and saddens me that these new immigrants do not blend into America as past immigrants did. I am sure my original American immigrant ancestors did not speak english, but they learned it. They learned it so well, that 5 or 6 generations later, I can't tell you what their original language was. Am I terrible to think immigrants to the USA should learn to speak english within a year or 2 of arrival? Somewhere along the way, my relatives and I, came to identify ourselves as Americans, rather than by some foreign affiliation. Am I wrong to want to hold onto my American heritage? For you folks of foreign descent and allegiance, how would feel if I went to your home countries and demanded that you become more American and give me handouts? Further I am concerned that various ethnic groups are sticking to themselves in unofficially designated communities. Immigrant behavior in the past caused American at one point in time to be referred to as the great "melting pot" The self-imposed segregation I see among the new immigrants causes me concern about the potential developing over time for political rifts to occur along cultural lines resulting in the Balkenization and breakup of the USA. Am I wrong for desiring to anticipate this problem and wanting to implement policies to prevent it? I love the American Culture i grew up in; Is it wrong for me to want to preserve my heritage? Now I have heard all of the heartfelt beliefs of how it is not fair that we Americans don't let everyone in. I have heard it argued from the perspective of that being the right thing to do as a god fearing people. I have heard it argued from the perspective of living up to promises of the Statue of Liberty beckoning the huddled masses. But there is something else to be considered; Whoever or however this world came to be, there are limited resources facing potentially unlimited human demand? If we just open the borders, their will be anarchy. If we let everyone in, our sewage systems will be overwhelmed, government resources will be strained to the point of breaking, the land will become crowded and fouled, and the resources will soon be exhausted? Are we really required to allow everyone to have everything we have out of some sense of fairness? Now some will say that I am being selfish. To them I paint this analogy. How would you feel if I came to your house, broke in and took your cell phone, ipod, flat screen TV, raided your refrigerator and drove off with your car? Would you feel justified in telling me I am wrong for doing that because those were your things and you need them? Would you feel it was unfair that you no longer had those things and had to replace them again? If you understand and agree with those sentiments on the micro level, then it is equally applicable in the macro level. Now, I know that many travesties involving separation of families, etc. occur. I empathize, but I do not see a solution, so long as people choose to break our immigration laws. And I freely admit that perfectly law abiding immigrants get a raw deal sometimes because of the issues with government bureaucracy. Any American Citizen will tell you that we also often get the shaft from our own bureaucracy. They truly are equal opportunity in their uncaring arrogance. The reason there are so many Hispanics in North America is because we have ALWAYS been here. Unless you are a Native American, those who we used to call American Indian, then you are a foreigner no matter how many generations your family has been here. Most Hispanics from North, Central, South America have some level of American Indian heritage in their blood because our ancestors were the natives of these lands. You can't get on this board and say that you are a "Real American" just because your ancestors came to our lands and Raped and enslaved all our natural resources. African Americans are here by no fault of their own so in reality I would say they have a higher right than any non-Native American to call themselves "Real Americans" if they choose to.

To add to my comment above, I think I need to clarify suppressed economies. I'm really thinking of countries like Argentima, Latin America and Brazil, where there have hyperinflationary issues with their currency. In Other words, the currency has bottomed out. Many of these Hispanics have come to the U.S. in order to survive economically. Also, they are willing to work any job in order to take care of their families. We have many U.S. citizens whom feel it is beneath them to work in certain types of jobs. In Summary, Economics is the driving factor for the phenomenal growth of this ethnic group in the U.S.

America continues to be the land of opportunity. I think the suppressed economies of many of these hispanic countries has been the catalyst to come to America. Also, I think U.S. immigration might have a more lenient policy toward hispanics compared to those from African countries.

Yes I know Fala, and it will be so easy to learn because they speak it all the time. But I am conflicted, I love French and know some of if and would like to learn it. I also have another job where my boss speaks french all the time. But my boss and I do not always get along so well and when I tried to speak it to her she became contrary. I always "thought" my profile was on point and I did not need any help to correct my page. I always had in my profile if someone is not attracted to my profile, then that's "their" loss.

I will never forget my first time using the Coaching Service I was introduced to my personal Dating Coach. Let me put it this way, if it was not for her I would have given up long time ago (even though I'm a new member).
She taught me so many things and gave me good advice, I did not want to stop chatting with her at all.
She opened my eyes to many possibilities when finding love. She is definitely an inspiration and I appreciate a whole lot. She is more than a Dating Coach to me; she is more of a close friend/guide to me. She is definitely my "online love-inspiration angel".
