Making Room for Something or Someone New!
Maybe that something old is "ideas" of what is your ideal mate. If you are new to this inter racial "thing" or perhaps you're keeping your options open for a totally different dating experience all together, let discuss what "old ideas" you must first get rid of before you can move on and find the love you deserve.
This is Leticia. Are you the type of person that says what you mean and means what you say? Do you act first and think later? Do you believe that "life just happens" and we are all here to merely to record it for the next generation"? Do you believe that words have power?

We often hear as children that knowledge is power. We learn as adults that knowledge only has power if you apply it. We all have that friend. He or she knows it all. Even if they don't know it, they've got an opinion about it. They have no children but they are quick to advise you on how to raise yours. They don't have and haven't had a man/woman in years, but, they tell you what you're or your mate is doing wrong. They've always worked for someone else, but are the first to tell you that you shouldn't start your own business.
We all know when it's time to clean our cars or our homes. Some of us do it daily and some of us wait until it gets so dirty and cluttered that we can't go about our routine with ease and efficiency. Well, when do you clear your mind? Do you have daily thoughts and meditations on what things and people you want to bring into your life? Do you assess your friendships and relationships to make sure that they are healthy and bringing you what you need to fulfill your dreams, goals and aspirations? Are you a pack rat? You keep every friend you've ever had, because you "never know when you might need them again"?
Well, it's amazing how clutter is clutter. No matter if you're talking things or people. Clutter by definition is "an untidy collection of objects", "disorganized mess". When we hold on to things or people for the wrong reasons, it prevents us from getting the things and the people in our lives that we truly want and need.
I really do believe that people come into our lives for a reason and a season. Some come and stay longer than they are supposed to because we haven't learned the lesson. We try to re-write the syllabus when the class was never ours to teach. Or we try to teach someone something before they are ready to learn it.
Perhaps we should treat the cleaning of our minds like we do our homes. If we do a little bit every day, we'll never have to take an entire day off work to control the madness. If we mend our garments and our relationships at the first sign of a tear, we'll never have to throw them away, before we are ready to let them go. But, when it is time to let them go, if we have taken proper care, instead of putting them in the trash, we can past them on to someone else that is deserving and in need.
See, so many people act out of greed because of their belief that there is lack in the world. If we all knew the truth, we'd never hold on to things or people for the mere sake of having them. We'd all be more giving and appreciate the knowledge that everything that is meant for you is yours and will come to you when you are willing and able to receive it. That goes for your car, your house and your woman or man.

A good idea to clean out all the dirty linen on your mind to give room fr new ideas to flow and flourish in you. When you move on with a dirty mind your likely to hurt other people you meet ahead of

It also helps to surround yourself with positive people in your life. Never let the negative, angry people bring you down! Also, for me, I love to laugh and funny people (like me) make me feel happy :)

SOMETIMES PEOPLE ARE STILL STUPID AND STUCK ON THE SAME SUBJECT EVEN AFTER YOU TRY TO TEACH THEM SOMETHING. I WOULD HAVE A STROKE IF I TRIED TO TEACH PEOPLE LIKE BIGOTS AND KLAN MEMBERS, THEY NEED TO FEEL BIG, BAD AND IMPORTANT SO THEY CREATED A CLUB THAT SECRETLY HATES ON NEGORES ALL DAY. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO LISTEN LET THEM ROT IN THEIR MISERY THAT'S THEIR PROBLEM. IF YOU FOUND THE LIGHT OF PEOPLE FROM EVERY COLOR JOINING TOGETHER THAT'S GREAT, BUT DON'T LET OTHER PEOPLE WHO NEED TO HATE PEOPLE ALL DAY TO FEEL SPECIAL, RUIN YOUR HAPPINESS.

I gotta do some spring cleaning this weekend - the real kind, not the metaphorical variety. Too much stuff piled up around the house.

Cleaning out your closet is a good thing. I agree that I need to do it as well. Certainly don't want to hold onto negatives that only spoil things for the current partner.

I definitely think people come into our lives for a reason. You should think of life like a revolving door - you never know who is coming in or who is going out - you just know the impression they leave you with.

...you cant meet someone, "win something", and such---without "giving yourself and your psyche "permission"---the mind is powerful...you have to believe it first!!!

Cleaning your mind is the same principal as the power of forgiveness. Forgiving others for all the things they do or did to hurt you, and forging yourself for being hurt, you will finally be free to move on.

Sounds a little like the 8th and 9th steps of AA.

Cleaning your mind makes a lot of sense. Too many people hold on to stuff that s just not worth it. Especially the negative stuff. Just let it go already. You ll be much happier.

I feel that when you clean or clear your mind of the past you have a better understanding of the people around you. But you can get a better understanding of oneself as well.
