Have you checked out the academy award winning film Crash? The title, a metaphor for the collisions between strangers in the course of day-to-day existence. Think about it, we come in contact with hundreds of people any given week. Those numbers can be increased or decreased depending on where you live, work and mode of transportation used. How many times have you made a new friend away from home, only to learn that the two of you share a hometown or went to the same grade school or dated the same person?

Do you remember the movie Six Degrees of Separation staring Will Smith, Stockard Channing and Donald Sutherland? Well, that was a story based around the idea that everyone is connected to everyone else by a maximum of six other people. So, if you take 2 random people, say you and your soul mate, there can be at most 6 people separating you from them. Therefore the trick of getting in contact with any person can be reduced to the "finding of 6 people that link the two of you together".

Have you ever thought about where your true "soul mate" is right now? What city, state, country? Could there really be only six people separating the two of you? Let's take my last boyfriend as an example. I was at work when he stopped by the office to visit his cousin. One degree of separation. However, what I didn't know at the time was that someone that I had just hired, was my boyfriend's best friend, his mother was a principal and worked with my favorite high school teacher that's four degree's. The point here is that if I had followed the lead from my high school teacher directly to the boyfriend, I'd have to go into a few more degrees, but, I could have eliminated a few loser boyfriends in between. Who knew?

Now let's take all this info and relate it to being a subscriber to our site. Since we're talking numbers and sense...what would you think the percentage difference is between subscribers and free members in terms of creating their success story?

Do you think the success rate for subscribers is 50% better than for free members? What about 200% better? More? Less? Would it surprise you to learn that subscribers to our site have statistically shown 2,200% (two thousand two hundred percent) higher chance of creating their own success story, over free members? Wow, you've just decreased those 6 degrees of separation by 2 degrees.

Now, just because you've become a subscriber and increased your chances of making that connection by 2,200%, you still have to meet people right? You still have to talk to as many people as you can squeeze into a day of chat, email, web cams, etc. The more people that you meet and speak with, the closer you get to making that connection that could be the "connection of a lifetime".

What degree are you away from finding the love of your life? What's stopping you from making that connection right now? If I told you that you could increase your chances for success by 2200% by becoming a subscriber, would you? Well, I am telling you just that...you can.     This is like my 10th attempt to try internet dating. I give up but then when optimism hits, I try again. I hope ultimately to be victorious over defeat. :D

    Six degrees? Only found two...one has possibilities and the other...well...Uhhhhh??? I don't think I can honestly count so I guess its just one..... So, now I am wondering where are the other five........???

    must agree with Anze1011...to an extent, I do believe in the 6 degrees, however don't agree with that being on this or any other site has ANYTHING to do with that... not saying it can't help you meet "someone" but "THE one ? I have given it a chance so ....

    I think the idea that subscribing increases your chances of meeting your special someone is a load of crock! You can meet that special someone anywhere. Where the site is helpful is that it is a interracial dating site. That is about it. Now, if anyone of you want to sit down there and whine about not meeting anyone then i suggest you check yourself properly as you can not blame the site for your inability to meet someone.Check yourself and be honest

    nice article...I have seen lots of dynamics to this site which can even be dependent on the time of the clock ua logged in and which part of the world happens to be awake @ that time. I haved learned lots, while meeting many interesting folks.

    this is an article i disagree with. i have been on this site for 2 yrs now. and have yet to meet someone that is not thinking from below the belt. the one person i thought was my soulmate, turned out to be a hap hazard to my emotional state of mind. so at what point is there 6 degrees for me? it feels more like 6000. i have thought about the idea.. my soulmate could be anywhere and what am i willing to do to get to him.. oh and why has he not found me yet??? i have seen pp come on here and with a month, found someone, engaged and a sucess story is born. im doing just like they are. so im not understanding. i think its a matter of FATE. i come here every day to chat, some times 3 times a day. not one message. so either im black balled and dont know it or the person im missing is not on the site and im wasting space.

    It's an interesting concept. It kind of reinforces the idea that people really have more in common and are more closely related than they think. It can help break down the divisions between us.

    true ture iceburger. also forget what u heard about people...sometimes its real but sometimes u need to judge for urself. and dont trip over silly stuff like talking to someone online...we r here to make friends as well as look for love...its not that serious

    I wish you had a way to pass on postive information about meeting between members. I have meet 3 members so far. 1 is a keeper and other although they are very nice just not for me. They would be great for someone else however would like to pass that on.
