Black women have no option?
Warning: This post may be offensive to some readers. This is not the objective. The post is in no way meant to defame or inflame any parties, groups or persons. It is simply meant to find out what people think about black white dating.

In a bid to explain why Black women get upset about Black men dating White women, Chris Rock in his latest stand up comedy says all Black men have done is exercised their option. He goes on to say Black women are angry because they are not attracted to white men so they can’t exercise their option. All they can do is sleep with “pretty white boys" but generally, black women are not attracted to white men.
In my opinion, the above statements suggest Black women only date interracially out of desperation. In fact, most Black men believe so. And the finger pointing between Black men and Black women never ends. I don't think this is the case though and frankly, I have never understood why Black men and Black women have to come up with such crude and prejudiced remarks while trying to figure out the reasoning behind their counterparts' dating options. YES! Options.

I dont think that black women date other races out of desperation because black women have been dating other races as long as black men. Definitely at a lower percentage but just as long. I have always seen black women with other races. So its nothing new. Are there some ignorant reasons out there why they do it? yes but no different than why black men do it. Honestly there is a real problem within the black race period and dating outside the race is not the most important reason but its part of the problem with the black race.

Hey Ms. Tatted! I had to scroll up real quick and you're right! Those posts are gone. That's a good thing. This sort of thing "open blog" in my opinion makes the quality of the dating experience here go down. Anyone can post here. People with the wrong intentions read this stuff and other blogs and then join up with preconceived notions or with thoughts that Black women are desperate. We ARE NO SUCH THING. I've left as an account holder and on to another site - w/o all of this as a distraction. Quality is lacking here in my humble opinion. But that don't mean I won't run into the same or similar elsewhere. I just think this blog causes trouble for serious daters. Good to see you sistahhh! hey big eyes firstly i liked the new pics as well. now i know you are expecting this but the whole "white priviledge" thing when in the past stating the evils of stereotyping. not all white countries fall into the same evils nor all white people. unlike walter i have been with 4 women in the last 20 years and i still get tested regularly "just in case" as should EVERYONE regardless of who or how many people you are sleeping with. 14 in 2 years unprotected??? that is just ridiculous shows no self-respect or respect to the women he is involved with and it would be their fault if he got a disease??? WOW he has also just proven some people have no class, there is more to growing up than growing old (told to me by my grandfather, a real man) end of discussion.

Punching holes, 7/18/2010 Walter states: I came to this site about a week ago, so this means on or about 7/11/10. Also I'm not getting why he as a white male, who is fearful of black women would INTENTIONALLY come to an INTERRACIAL dating site, doesn't make a lot of sense to me!! When a person is fearful of something or someone, wouldn't it be wise to stay away as far as possible??? I do hope Walter is also aware that even though his test came back negative, that does NOT mean that he is in the clear!!! Check out the incubation period, dear Walter, you can test negative today, and six months from now, it may be a whole different story. Yes Walter every man/woman shall reap what they have sewn, this does NOT apply to black women only. Please reference your motives, and your behavior here in the book of Proverbs, 6th chapter, verses 16-19. Your friend is NOT here, get over it! I'm on to you, you are NOT clever at all!!!!!! well "walter" i guess you have the same reading comprehension problem as "eric" since neither one of you seems to understand the statistics that you have referred to.yes i will agree black women account for better than 80% of the cases in FEMALES but only21% of total cases. MEN account for more than 70% of total cases with black and white men each carrying about 30% of the load. and with only 13% of the total population it makes black men the riskiest group by far.as well over 70% of all new cases are directly attributed to gay MALE SEX because it is the transfer of fluids that spreads the disease and for your information women do not usually leave there "fluids" inside you butt you boyfreind does. but by your limited understanding and theories we should all be dating either asian, latino or white women and stop dating inside our own races. that way every race can share the burden equally ... right ??? spread it around we got lots...i like your way of thinking guy(s). do i need to point out thats sarcasm or did i lay it on thick enough for you to get it all by yourself. it really bothers me to watch people claiming to be educated massacre something like these simple numbers so badly.

At what time did I say or imply that I am a non-believer in statistics? Or imply that they are wrong? Of all people, I am a lover of truth and logic. I simply believe that just because statistics may be unfavorably high,doesn't mean I have to become one. I am an individual who takes responsibility for my own choices and with extreme prejudice,excercises my own judgement. Data is data.Numbers and ratios,which hold a certain element of truth because they are factual and factual because they can be proven. @ Eric HIV/AIDS should be a problem that plagues society for all of us. It knows no color, no economic status, nor does it care how one acquires it. I feel your presentation on the matter has been laced with blame it on the Black woman. Now if maybe, just maybe had your approach been a little different w/o the Black man hatred spin, folks could have listened. I have also reaffirmed what was taught to me by my parents that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink when you get him there. Having said that, bring the message honestly and let those that can benefit from it do so. Those that choose not to - will not if they are not so inclined.

Tatts, I understand where you're coming. I stated in my post that it noticed his comments seemed suspect appearing in this thread as well as another about black women and their choices. Possibly because "Can Sex With A Stranger Be Intimate” and “Do Women Prefer Polyandry To Monogamy” don't have a significant black female presence. Talking about this subject to a predominately white male and female audience would be like talking to a wall or "selling out" in my opinion. As you know, I don't like people using their race's opposite gender to justify interracial dating, but I haven't heard the "black men have AIDS" excuse before on this site. Arguing outside personal beef in a forum of folks unaware of what or why they're mentioning something IS a big pet peeve of mine. So please, Tatts, don't take offense to my comment regarding this issue. I'm the kind of person who listens to what a person has to say regardless of how they said it, then take how they said it as a means of how to deal with them going foward. I heard what Eric said and struck me as personal given some recent events in my heart and mind. Especially all of the "hatred" speak. That irks me everytime I hear it. But it is what it is. He says his intent was not to offend, maybe he should have found a better way to present hst ideas and fact or respond to his detractors.

@SAM & ERIC MY EARLIER POST POINTS OUT THE MAJORITYOF NEW CASES IN MEN (72%) ARE GETTING THE DISEASE FROM A-- PUNCHING OTHER MEN. 80% OF NEW FEMALE CASES ARE FROM MEN. so obviously its the men leaving the deposit that are srpreading it. dirty needles and drug use is still a contributing factor but at nowhere near the same levels. and i dont know where "petite chick" got her numbers but they are not significantly different than the ones i found. bottom line anal sex is the most high risk for all people male or female. @ tatted, petite and sam maybe this hooligan gets it now and he will get back on topic "are there choices for black women?" and its nice reading all your comments thx

Good Morning, First off I would like to take this time out to thank Ms.Tatt for articulating so well her insight pertaining to Eric's motives, thank you dear Tatt, you and I are on the exact page with this one! Your response was worded perfectly! You confirmed my suspicions about this one! Observation pertaining to his genuine motives, of all the topics on this blog, why did he choose to speak on this under the title "black women have no option"? I wonder why not a more appropiate title such as "can sex with a stranger be intimate"(Feb 09), or, "do women prefer polyandry to monogamy"(Dec 08). Another observation, his initial comment about the subject matter was on June 22( I don't copy and paste so if anyone wants to read it, scroll up the page). He said what he wanted to say and he also suggested to reference the CDC, I wonder why he couldn't/didn't just leave it at that? Now since no one replied back to him about their findings from the CDC or anything else that he had to say, then maybe, just maybe, the conversation could have ceased! Was this not a possibility? I'm wondering why no one bother to keep going with the conversation???? Maybe some of us saw right through his BS, and true motives from the very beginning!!! Tatt did make a comment on the 27th of June, however, she did NOT mention his name, her comment, as I read it was about, the tone of his comments. This is when the second red flag went up for me when he responded back to someone who NEVER mentioned his name!! So he then responds to Tatt with that condescending tone, and his feeble attempt to minimize her thoughts, by referring to her as a "poster child" of some sort. Instead of looking for any answers or solutions, you go for that Good Ole Witch Hunt mode. It is the women and particulary black women! Let's get them before they get us! Put up the stakes! Light the fire! It is those evil, ungodly black women who, despite their high education, continue to spread the virus! It is their fault! They do it on purpose. They don't care even if they know, so they must do it on purpose. And what that purpose could be? Some satanic evil unchristian reason I bet. This is what you are saying, suggesting. Maybe your preacher hates women, maybe you are into hating women, I don't know. But I do know this: when you look for the guilty ones, you are not looking for solutions. You are looking for somebody to punish. And this is the real question: Why you want to punish black women? What they have done to you? PS. Did you get tested already? Be part of solution, Eric. oh yes.....forgot to say ..... the "honorable mention" of "black men" in the issue at hand DOES LITTLE IF ANYTHING TO MASK THE THROWING OF THE SALT. If he just kept that madness down he might have an excellent platform to discuss something that IS important TO ALL. But making it (at it's core) about "black women" (all that's missing is the "nappy headed"....PFFT) polarizes it to the point of MADNESS. Any sort of broad-minded discussion is not possible with someone of this mentality....PERIOD.

Wow. There is a lot of various views on here. I personally view everyone as individuals and can't comment on black stereotypes male or female especially since I am white and haven't read any studies out there on it. I think everyone is cool until shown otherwise. I am just curious, has there been any studies on what was stated in this myriad of viewpoints? I don't know personally. So I am not challenging anyone's view whatsoever on this blog. I just wanted to throw a general statement out there. Studies do show that internet communication as well as higher movement rates of all races around the country are moving around the country more. And in person, people tend to date who they are surrounded by and in close proximity the most so maybe the greater desegregation of races as they move around and intermingle causes more interracial dating in general as well as the internet bringing people exposed to people they wouldn't normally be exposed to because of lack of proximity.
