I'm not looking for someone to take care of me or rescue me because I can do that for myself. I am looking for a mature relationship which means mutual respect, honesty, compassion, and open communication. I do not argue but I will discuss a problem with you at length until we can come to a mutually acceptable resolution. I'm happy when I can take care of someone and I hope to find someone who feels the same. I hear that relationships should be 50/50 but I do not agree with that. Successful relationships are 100%/100%. In order to make a relationship work you have to be willing to put your whole heart into it, not just 50% of it.

My partying days are far behind me, thank the Lord. Looking back I can't imagine what the allure of hangovers and lapses in memory was. I still have lapses in memory but now it's about where I left my keys. Given my choice on a summer evening I'm torn between hanging out on the patio and going to an outdoor Blues performance under the stars. Family is profoundly important to me. I have one child who is grown with children of her own. She is an exceptional person and I hope to be just like her when I grow up. My greatest ambition is to be the coolest grandmother on the planet. So far I'm doing really well... Much to my daughter's dismay. It's not that I'm overly permissive, it's just that I've learned not to sweat the small stuff!
