Family is very important to me. My Mom passed away in August 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. My Dad in passed in July of 2011 at the age of 90. When you see your parents get older it really makes you appreciate all the things they did to shape the type of person you are today.
I have a 3 year old son. I have joint custody and nothing is better than the time I spend with him. His Mom and I get along very well.
I definitely consider myself to be a romantic. Of course romance doesn't have to be measured in big deeds, but rather small moments and little surprises. Could be flowers sent unexpectedly (no need for a special occasion) or a note left for you to find when you least expect it. Public displays of affection are always welcome too.
I like to try the latest restaurants and love the performing arts. I'm a member of the Kennedy Center. My tuxedo is always ready to go at a moments notice. I stay active and keep fit and hopefully fitness is important to you as well. I like to have fun! I love the beach in summer or winter. I prefer red wine to white, the beach over the mountains, city more than country and love dogs. I recently put my jack russell to sleep. He was 15 and an awesome dog.
I volunteer at the National Zoo. It's very fulfilling.
I like the old fashioned notions of being a gentleman such as opening car doors (not just on the first date either) Letting women on or off an elevator first. Simple things I know, but seem to be forgotten.
