How would you describe yourself?
Here are some fairly indulgent and self serving info about me:
I'm part Indian and part Portuguese. Grew up in India and moved the the US when I was 14. No, I don't have an accent. I am equally versed about fashion, music, movies and current events as I am about Star Wars. For recreation I'm into design, architecture, fashion, music and movies. I like to stay fit and eat healthy.
I have a 8 year old daughter who is the light of my life.
I have dual bachelors in Physics and Math, minors in Art History and Classical Studies. A masters in Physics and MBA in Finance. I work in Commercial Real Estate - Investments. We buy and operate investment grade office buildings, shopping centers and industrial properties.
Prior to that I worked in Community and Economic Development and helped develop communities, non-profits, community banks, micro -lending programs and equity funds geared towards the benefit of low income communities of San Diego city and county. We brought in billions to reinvigorate the low to moderate income neighborhoods of San Diego. The results you can see in Normal Heights, City Heights and University Heights...
Enough about my nonsense - tell me about you!!!

You see, in the old west, cowboys could be out on the dusty range for months at a time, and they get mighty dirty. So they'd mosey into town with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and they'd need to wash them. So what they'd do is, they'd go down to the creek, and strip down until they were wearing nothing but their boots.
Why'd they keep their boots on? For Rattlesnakes.
Anyways, in order to warn people that were swimming that a naked cowboy was on his way, he would yell, or, if you will, call, "Booty! Booty!" Ergo, the Booty Call.

Love by Pablo Neruda
Because of you, in gardens of blossoming flowers I ache from the
Perfumes of spring.
I have forgotten your face, I no longer remember your hands;
How did your lips feel on mine?
Because of you, I love the white statues drowsing in the parks,
The white statues that have neither voice nor sight.
I have forgotten your voice, your happy voice; I have forgotten
Your eyes.
Like a flower to its perfume, I am bound to my vague memory of
You. I live with pain that is like a wound; if you touch me, you will
Do me irreparable harm.
Your caresses enfold me, like climbing vines on melancholy walls.
I have forgotten your love, yet I seem to glimpse you in every
Window.
Because of you, the heady perfumes of summer pain me; because
Of you, I again seek out the signs that precipitate desires: shooting stars, falling objects

As Long As You're Smiling, Nothing Can Get You Down
Now and again we all find ourselves feeling a little bit "blue." That's just life, after all. But remember, without the bad times, how would we learn to appreciate the good? Look hard enough, and you'll always find that little ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds, even on the rainiest of days. The trick is to keep on smiling!
You hear that? That's the sound of birds singing. They don't let life bring them down, so why should you? Look at it this way: Misery is a choice. You can choose to live in Gloomsville or you can put on a smile and say, "Hey, world, whatever you throw at me, it's nothing I can't beat!" The decision is yours.
Maybe every little thing in your life isn't going exactly the way you want. So what? No one in this world gets their way 100 percent of the time, and it's important not to let the small stuff ruin your day. Have some perspective! Take a step back and ask yourself: Is this problem really such a huge deal in the grand scheme of things? Is it truly a situation I can't handle? Is it any reason to put a nasty frown on my face?
Of course it's not.
So buck up! You'll be smiling in no time if you just stop to think of all the wonderful things in this world: an ice cream cone on a sunny day, your children's faces when you hand them a new balloon, and, perhaps greatest of all, the feeling you get from knowing you're the one in charge of your own happiness.
As if that weren't reason enough to put on a grin, here's one more: Did you know it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile? That's a scientific fact!
When life throws you a curveball, the thing to do is just keep your chin up. That's all there is to say!
