San Francisco swirlers are in for a treat next Saturday, October 13, when Half Breed Clothing Company and Christelyn D. Karazin and Janice Rhoshalle Littlejohn host a a comedy event to celebrate the lighter side of dating and multiculturalism. Join the authors and Rudy Tabasa, founder of Halfbreed Clothing Co. for cocktails and the signature “Swirling” drink and then stay for the comedic genius of Ricky Del Rosario, Kirk McHenry, and G. King, and then stay for music dancing and...who knows?

Meet hilarious Filipino comedian, Ricky Del Rosario. Once voted by HBO as one of the top ten up and coming urban comedians in the United States. Ricky has traveled the country bringing unique humor and in-depth characters to thousands of comedy fans. Having performed on several seasons of Comic View and the very first HBO Laffapoluza, Ricky has worked with comedians such as Andrew Dice Clay, Carlos Mencia, Joe Rogan, Lewis Black, Katt Williams, Mike Epps, Luenelle, Nick Cannon and many more. He also spent time as an on-air personality for one of the countries largest radio stations, producing comedy skits for their morning show. Ricky has performed for the 2011 NBA ALL Star weekend party for Matt Barnes of the Lakers. More recently Ricky was one of the comedians performing at the Comedy Store's red carpet event for the Jerry Lewis MDA benefit.

Then grab your sides before Oakland native, Kirk McHenry splits them with his comedic take of urban life in Northern California. McHenry has opened for such stars as Paul Mooney, Bobby Slayton, Tommy Davidson and Don "D.C." Curry, Kirk has been labeled one of the Bay Areas fastest rising young stars by his peers. He even gained recognition as one of the top 10 comics in the Bay Area by Karma 777 Film works & Productions.

Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Advance tickets are $25 at swirlingsf.eventbrite.com or $20 for groups of 4 or more (or $30 at-the-door. Admission includes a copy of “Swirling” for the first 50 ticket holders.

Sorry, but I just wouldn't attend an event that refers to interracial dating as "swirling".
