The Swirling Big Bash Was a Blast!
Dozens of singles seeking the bliss of their very own interracial romance got a taste at the “Swirling” Big Bash, which went down at The Grand Del Mar last Saturday in San Diego. Rollicking blues music, delectable treats and free-flowing drinks made the mingling easy. After sundown, the atmosphere in there was electric! Some guests coupled up and made plans to see each other again.
But it wasn’t just party time for these lucky site members—they also got to participate in an interracial dating forum filled with sharp insights, personal experiences, and practical advice.
Find your soulmate on InterracialDatingCentral

Actress Sujata Day of the award-winning web series “Awkward Black Girl” led a panel with authors Christelyn D. Karazin and Janice Rhoshalle Littlejohn. Day described dating interracially as a woman of East Indian descent and the cultural challenges that come with it.
Tapping into the hundreds of interviews and months of research that went into writing their dating guide, “Swirling,” Karazin and Littlejohn shared the stories of real singles and dispensed advice in answer to members’ questions. No question was off limits. “How do you handle family members who don’t approve of your interracial relationship?” sparked a lively discussion. Compelled to share their experiences, attendees readily chimed in on that one!
Another highlight was the introduction of Swirling’s signature drink, a delicious concoction of Absolut Vanilla, Baileys and Coke. Those partaking of the nectar felt its euphoric effects, that’s for sure. All in all, it was a great atmosphere for socializing, but I’m glad people came away inspired and informed as well as a little inebriated!
Bummed that you missed our party at The Grand Del Mar? Not to worry. SoCal members have another chance to connect in the beautiful Temecula Valley wine country for the second ‘Swirling’ social! This one comes with a vineyard tour and a pairing class for wine and chocolate. It’s sure to be a delicious affair… Details forthcoming, I promise!
Recipe for the “Swirling” Signature Drink
What you’ll need:
2 oz. Absolut Vanilla Vodka 1 oz. Baileys Irish Cream Splash of Coke Caramel syrup Martini shakerCoat the inside of the martini glass with the caramel syrup, creating a swirl pattern. Mix the Baileys and Absolut in the martini shaker. Pour it in the glass and finish with a splash of Coke.
Cheers!

That is a really great idea. We should have something like that in Florida. If we do already, someone please point me in the right direction.

Why not have one in the northeast? I am licensed NYC tour guide and I am doing a tour of Harlem on October 6th. Tour will includes a behind the scenes tour of the Apollo Theater, dinner at Sylva's, and a night cap with entertainment at the Lenox Lounge.
