Here's how the black woman needs to be treated
People always say negative things about Black women and blaming them for being single. Well, today, I managed to come across a video that says something positive about them. And in this video, black women are not being blamed for relationship failures.
In this video, a man reflects on the mistakes he made that led to his girl fleeing and tells other men how they can treat their women better. Much as the name of the video is: ">“Black men – This is how you love Black women”, I believe the advice given is something that men of all races can make use of when it comes to dating, relationships and treating women of all races right.

But much as I loved the video and picked a thing or two from it, not every feedback can be positive. Here is what someone thought about it:
“…We all know women pick the men. Therefore, why would a man care about any outside problems that other men bring to the table. I can understand admitting to your mistakes, but this goes to a new level. Women should take accountability. If you want a guy who reads books find them. You can not turn a person into a bookworm who wants to watch sports all day. Women do the picking is all i have to say.”
Should women be held accountable for their relationship problems? Is it the woman's fault that the man she felt was right for her ended up being wrong?

It's great that vidoes like these are available to inspire such conversations and allow us to give our "two cents" on how we actually feel. I think the clip is interesting. It would also be interesting to read the comments if the message was race neutral. Let's pretend that is not as not an attack on black men and it's more to do with "how women want to be treated." I have not had the opportunity to date men from races different from my own, but I think some of the responses are directly related to the way people were treated in their relationship. It's unfortunate that black men are stereotyped because of bad experiences with a few. I am sure there are some good black men out there. This video is for every man of every race. Relationships are a give and take. You give a little, take a little, and the same applies to your partner, no matter what race you're from.

It just covered some serious issues that women who date SOME BLACK men have, i wouldn't agree with the video if it weren't true, but unfortunately I found 85% of it true. Don't get me wrong I do agree with Jahsymeon on women that keep choosing the same "type" of crazy guys, some women don't learn from their mistakes. I'm really not on here trying to bash black men, I'm actually very attracted to black men, I feel that I'm a nice young woman that knows how to treat a man, its just I don't have much luck with black men. That's why I'm trying my luck outside my race...So is it wrong to want to agree with the video?

Instead of working to make their childrens future brighter. The racial composition of the US prison and jail population as of 2008 was 60.21% (African American (non-Hispanic), 20.29% Hispanic, 13.44% White American (non-Hispanic) , and 6.06% Other (American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander American, and Multiracial American). Most people say that this is because of "The white man" and what slavery and segregation has done to the American black race. But they often forget about the black people from outside this country. Native Americans were enslaved as-well but do they own the population of jail buds? I am from the Caribbean and when we come to USA, we have to struggle all over again, we have to pay THOUSANDS of dollars filing papers for citizenship and we felt and still feel the effects of segregation JUST AS MUCH as the American black race feels it. Difference? we humble ourselves and start from scratch working, cleaning peoples homes, any little thing we can get and we rise above it soon enough...we get educations, and we make our childrens' future one to look forward to. I have looked at the AA race for a long time, while my mom was working cleaning houses (3 jobs) couldn't even get a food stamp let alone cheat the system. I have seen the good but the bad is overwhelmingly plentiful. There are blacks in all shapes and forms! I agree, but lets look at the big picture...the African American population is dwindling. I have dated white, asian, and black men. ALL of them acknowledge that. HISPANICS slowly came into America and are now out numbering the AA race. YET!!! The African American race still holds the crown, when we look at the prison population. It is a very sad fact, and you can keep dancing around it or you can acknowledge it and change your attitudes. We tend to associate our answers with 'I am' or 'I'm not' how about starting your answer with 'We are' and then backing it up with some facts. I love the black race! where ever you are from, but EVERY TIME!! I have been in a relationship with an African American man it has ended in GREAT sorrow. From baby mama drama to drugs to jail to cheating. I keep giving and giving and giving and every time I try I get a lump of coal. There are good black men out there, but they are few and far between. However every time I date a man of another race or origin, my experience was joyful!!! Call me bad-lucky but I'm stating the facts. White or Asian even Indian, 2 white bf, 1 asian, 4 indian, 1 african; they ALL worshiped the dirt I walked on. I never felt pressured for sex or anything! Just pure fun and laughs and when you get right down to it, you forget color. Call me bad-lucky when it comes to dating African American men, but it has NEVER worked out for me. Some of you might say, maybe it was my stink attitude, but I've dated other men from other races and even black men from outside the country and it was bliss.

I don't have stink attitude but I think some people would say I have a problem with black men that is why I will cause problems with them more than white men. But I have no problem with men from anywhere I am who I am no matter who I am with, and coming from the Caribbean you are excited about American men including black American men. I have tried them all, and now I know what works for me. So don't say I come down harder on black men because African men I have dated too and we get along just fine. American black men just give me drama for me to come down hard on; no matter what race gives me drama I will be very mad at the guy, black men (mostly AA men) just give me a hell of a lot more drama to be mad about.

Why don't you go back to your island to avoid black men. Or better yet try to fix your people's high drop out rate or lack of obtaining education higher than a GED. Are hispanics replacing Indians and Asians in obtaining advance degrees, and making advancements in science, business, and technology? No.

I have met a lot of Puerto Rican, Mexican, Caucasian, and Middle-Eastern men that do the same stupid thing that all the African-American men are being stereotyped as. This video is offensive. I don't do a lot of those things and am very well-educated. However, I am unable to find an African-American woman because they are attracted to these ignorant people that the video is describing. Therefore, at the end, it is usually the fault of African-American women that they end of these the men. If anything, they should look out for men that can look after them long term instead of going out with losers that leave them stranded in the short run.

OMG. This video is ridiculous. I stopped watching it after 2 minutes. I'm a black woman and I have never judged black men in a negative manner. As many times as black men have hurt me, I can't disgrace them. I love men of all races. A man can't blame a woman because their relationship went bad, and a woman can't blame her man because the relationship went bad. There's no such thing as a good man/woman, a perfect man/woman, or a bad man/woman. There are only people who try. If you're in a relationship and you try that's what matters. I gave 200% in all my relationships and it didn't work. But I don't hold any animousity towards my exes. We're all still friends. This is why ignorance lives among us blacks.
