Five Days Were Enough
Richard had heard the success stories of sites like ours, and nothing else was working for him in his quest for true love. Why not give it a try?
Running a search on our site, Richard’s eye was drawn to the first profile that came up. There was something about Suzette that seemed special to him. When he reached out to her, Suzette checked out Richard’s profile. She liked what she saw. “I thought, ‘How handsome!’” Suzette recalls. “I decided to follow through with this one.”

She sent him a note indicating she’d like to talk. Richard replied with his contact info and an invitation to call him anytime. When Suzette phoned, it didn’t feel like their first conversation; it was more like two old friends catching up. “We never hung up the phone,” Suzette says. “It was like an instant connection. We had so much in common!”
When Richard came home from work at night, he would talk to Suzette on the phone until they fell asleep. It was clear that these two needed to meet in person. Richard sent Suzette a plane ticket.
The moment that Suzette stepped off the plane in Columbus, OH, she found a certain gentleman waiting for her with flowers in hand. “My first impression? He was tall and handsome, with a gentle smile,” Suzette says. Richard thought Suzette was as beautiful in person as he’d imagined her on the phone. Over dinner, the couple felt that elusive chemistry only an in-person meeting can put to the test.
After spending five days with Suzette, Richard proposed. She gladly accepted. “I have not left his sight since I came to Columbus,” Suzette says. “We plan to live happily ever after!”
The wedding took place on January 25, 2011. Richard couldn’t be happier with the results of his decision to date online. “She is everything I could ever dream of, and my best friend,” he says. Suzette can’t believe her good fortune, either. “He’s the man I thought didn't exist,” she marvels. “He is so wonderful! I am blessed.”

He sent her a ticket to show her he meant it...of course any man who wanted to see his potential mate badly enough, will meet her, by any means necessary. That is how guys are, always wanting to please and take care of their woman. Having said that, if this makes you feel pressured to do the same, don't let it. Everyone's circumstances are different and we must do the prudent thing for us, when necessary. It would be a shame for a guy with no means, to mortgage his home, for a chance meeting with anyone. So, enjoy the story and let this one sentence go...to him it was important, but it is not a litmus for love. Peace!

I enjoyed reading it, this is an interesting romantic story. There is no time table to fall in love. Hower, some people choose to date longer than others. I am very happy for both of them. Congratulations!

I fell victim to the infamous "love at first sight," when I met the young black girl who would eventually become my wife. Even so, we didn't get married for another 6 years. But, after 24 years of marriage and two children, we were divorced. Still, I don't regret a moment of our 30 years together, and we have maintained a friendly relationship.

congrats to both of you there is no time on what you can do or cant. time is what you make it life is like a circle it goes round and round and we learn as we go. any disapointment should be use as a learning curve, life is full of rola coster and bridges we just learning the skills to overcome them on the way. this is a really example of love at first site. i wish you long, happy life and god richest blessing. suzzette happy mothers day it might be early but who knows lol. communication respect is few of the key component of long and happy life
