She Couldn’t See Him Soon Enough

“I can’t do the bars,” admits Monica. “But it makes it hard to find someone when you don’t go out a lot.” So what’s a girl to do? Go online, young lady! Monica says that she initially “questioned” the value of dating sites, but something about our black men white women dating site compelled her to join.

After a few weeks, she was contacted by another member who struck her as the kind of guy she wanted to meet. The attraction was there, at any rate. “I thought he was sexy,” Monica says.

And why did Chase reach out to Monica? Well, this was his reaction to her profile: “WOW!” He too had only been on our site for a few weeks when he found Monica.

Chase and Monica weren’t as into email as other methods of communication, so they chatted every day on the phone, Skype or Yahoo! Messenger. Things went so well, so quickly that Monica moved up her plans to visit Chase by three weeks. “I called her a few days after she booked her flight to Los Angeles,” Chase tells us. “I said, ‘baby, can you come now? I wanna see you!’”

Monica says the most surprising thing about their first date was how many pictures Chase took. You’d think he was the out-of-towner, not Monica! But Chase was just being romantic. “The night I arrived, we stopped at the beach on the way to his house and took pictures,” Monica says. “He wanted pictures of us everywhere!”

The weekend they spent together cemented their certainty that Monica got on that plane for a good reason. Something special was starting here. “He was calling me Mrs. Taylor before the weekend was up,” Monica laughs. Chase isn’t lavish with the compliments, but his affection for Monica is clear. “She is cool to hang out with,” he says. “I love her, and it’s amazing. She is gonna be my wife.”

To make their long-distance relationship work, Monica took a job with one of the major airlines. “OMG, I live for this man,” she gushes via email. “I am the happiest girl ever.”

Monica is still amazed at how well things worked out in her love life once she took the plunge and put up a profile. “I honestly did not think that I would find the one for me on a dating site,” she says. “When I found Chase, I was really excited. It gave me faith that love does come along.”

To other members of our site, she says to “keep your doors and options open, but don’t try to hold down three or four people at a time. Focus on what is in front of you, and give it time. We did, and look at us now. In love, talking about marriage!”
