Somewhere between the heart and mind is where I make my home. The following lists some interesting and not so interesting stuff about me.
My hobbies are ever evolving and changing but include the usual suspects: reading, writing, traveling, cooking. I also like to spend as much time as possible at or near the ocean where I can indulge in a bit of surfing (beginner), hiking, and people watching. There are other hobbies but they escape me at the moment or I haven't taken them up yet.
I'm a PhD student with aspirations to occupy a seat in one of those ivory tower places and from there corrupt as many young minds as possible. I grew up bi-cultural (Brasil and U. S.) and have always been curious about other cultures, languages, lands, etc. I speak German and Portuguese so I can easily ramble on, bore, and tell really bad jokes in multiple languages. I have one dog (I have no issues with cats... Birds on the other hand...). Music is a huge passion of mine and I can honestly say that I listen to everything (I will admit that country can be a bit of a challenge for me to listen to for extended periods of time). |
