When it comes to syncing the mind and body in matters of sexual arousal – according to a research review published online in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior in Jan 4 – women are less in sync than men.
This group of researchers wanted to access the connection between subjective experiences of sexual arousal and physiological genital responses. They reviewed more than 2,500 women and 1,900 men.
According to Meredith Chivers, a psychology professor at Queen’s University in Canada. Chivers and colleagues men’s subjective ratings mirrored their body’s level of sexual arousal 66% of the time while in the case of women, mind and body were in agreement 26% of the time.
“For men, their experience is strongly related to physiological arousal whereas for women it is less so,” Chivers said. “The general pattern that I have seen in my laboratory is that women experience a genital response but do not report feeling sexually aroused.”
Does this mean some women have orgasms and they just have no clue? Hmmmmm…. May be we don’t need the endless foreplay then

Well you know what the other studies say – men think about sex every 7 seconds, women more like every month. If that’s the case it only goes to figure why men are more apt to be sexually aroused by just about anything – and considering they can’t hide their arousal very well – I guess that would make them more aware.

I think women know when they are aroused but dont respond to it not because they dont enjoy sex, but because they know they can become emotionally involved with someone who is potentially just treating sex like a sport.
Ive found that when a woman is aroused she knows it, and either choses to respond or not. Most guys just respond to it, but I am more deliberate. If I dont want to get close on all levels I wont start with sex.
