Boredom and the desire to rev up his love life motivated James to try online dating. He sampled other sites before ours, but we’re the ones who introduced him to his wife!

Perusing the many profiles at his fingertips, James found one that stood out. A member with the username “drkandlvly2” spoke to him, somehow. He had to reach out to her. “I thought I’d be lucky if she even answered me,” he says.

The club scene sure hadn’t introduced Sandra to the man of her dreams, so she thought she’d give online dating a shot. Two months later, on January 3rd, she got an email from James wishing her a Happy New Year…

By that point he’d been a member of our site for a year. She checked out his profile and liked what she saw. “I thought he was cute,” she says. “And exactly my type.”

After a few weeks of online courtship, they spoke on the phone. “Our first conversation was two hours long, and it was great,” Sandra recounts. James came away thrilled. “She seemed to really like me,” he says.

Fresh off that success, the pair decided to meet for the often-dreaded first date. Would it be awkward, disappointing or just not a great fit? None of the above. This date would change their lives forever…

The plan was dinner and drinks at a nice restaurant in Chicago’s Hyde Park. Sandra’s first impressions were good. “He had a great smile and he was easy to talk to,” she says. “I guess he just made me feel comfortable, because we never ran out of things to talk about.”

James was blown away by his female companion. “I was surprised this gorgeous model from Miami had even showed up!” he laughs. “She was both beautiful and genuine.” What surprised Sandra most? “That I wanted to kiss him,” she says. “So I did!”

As they began the wonderfully dizzying process of falling in love, James and Sandra found there was much more to each other than a dating profile could capture. She was struck by her beloved’s attentiveness and James found himself impressed with Sandra’s wisdom. He adds, “I’ve never felt so understood by another person.”

After awhile, it seemed clear to both that it was either time to take this relationship to the next level or to walk away. “I told him I wasn’t girlfriend material,” Sandra says, drawing out the suspense. “I said, ‘I want to get married!’”

“She’s given me faith,” James says of his wife. Sandra can’t believe how much James has changed her life for the better. “He encourages me to do things I never thought of doing, like starting my own image consulting business,” she says. “James is very supportive… and really sexy. I’m lovin’ it! Everyone should be this blessed!”

If only every person looking for a love like this could find their Sandra or James. The couple advises singles to “Be true to yourself. Be honest with the other person—don’t fake it!”

No doubt about it, this love story is definitely the real deal.
