Russel Crowe did NOT attack Azealia Banks, says rapper RZA
There’s so much drama happening in Hollywood right now, we don’t blame you for not being able to keep up.
You may or may not have heard this week that rapper Azealia Banks made the rather serious claim that Russell Crowe allegedly attacked her in a Beverly Hills hotel suite. The claims were that he whispered racial slurs in her ear, spat on her, and tried to choke her. Yikes!
Reports have gone back and forth all week with information and misinformation alike; basically, no one has been able to separate the fact from the fiction. And now it doesn’t look like we are any closer to discovering the truth, as rapper RZA claims Azealia Banks made the whole thing up. Say whaaat?
Your perfect partner could be online right now...
What are you looking for?
Let’s talk about the facts we do know. Azealia was at the hotel suite for a business meeting with RZA, which slowly turned into joining Russell Crowe and some friends at a dinner table. So far, so good. But here is where accounts start to differ…
"Before the night is over Azealia is insulting half the room she becomes loud and obnoxious,” RZA wrote on his Facebook in an attempt to clear things up.
“There was nothing funny about her behaviour. I felt a little embarrassed because she was my guest... Still verbal abuse can be tolerated but when it goes physical... Azealia [threatened] to cut a girl in the face with a glass, then actually grabs a glass and physically attacks for no logical reason. [Crowe] blocked the attack and expelled her from the suite. I did not hear Russell call her a [racial slur]."
So as you can see, the plot thickens. Although neither Azealia nor her reps have responded to RZA’s latest comment, her rep did release a statement describing how “disgusted” she is by reports claiming that she hasn’t been telling the truth…
"She is very, very disgusted by the reports," her rep said. “The reports out there don't even remotely resemble what actually happened. She was attacked. What has been reported as to what had led up to the attack is all fictitious."
So that’s all we know so far. Are you as confused and in the dark as we are?
We hope the truth will come out soon; we don’t know how much more to-ing and fro-ing we can take!
