Now this is me... With all the races I have embedded in me… LOL. Now if it would have been like this when you mix races… becoming truly multi-colored? Don’t think I would be walking on this earth.

The persistent stereotype of the mixed race person is someone who is "caught between two cultures"…racial confusion you may call it. A tragic mongrel doomed to suffer repeated rejection by two sides which are unable to overcome their own racism. Well, we are the most visible sign of racial harmony you can get.

Sociologists argue that one of the defining characteristics of the U.S. racial/ethnic landscape is the tendency for people, White and non-White alike, to prefer a sense of clarity when it comes to racial/ethnic identity. You either black or white. In situations where the racial/ethnic background of a person cannot be immediately identified, many people become uncomfortable with this cultural ambiguity. aghhhhhhhh!!!!!! scared or something? Well, they know better.

Surely, don't people realize that there are other colors besides black and white? If God didn't want us to live in harmony, then there wouldn't have been so many races in the world. The rainbow... seven colours all in harmony. Can’t we just be like the rainbow... It’s beautiful... and so are mixed race people.

Surely, there are other colors besides black and white...and that's the art of it.A mixed race is always considered beautiful , both race--either black and white , yellow or brown , should be proud on what they've created .I think those who reject other person because of his race/color are just insecure , not happy and not educated himself.

Being multi-colored is more prevelant than anyone can imagine. If people would explore their ancestors more they would determine that they are also multi-colored.

Ria this is a sad but true statment, look so many whites and blacks want clarity for what ever thier reasons are. But look at the latinos they want the clarity of latino so no one calls them Mexican. Even Mexicans in Texas call thierself hispanics even though thier mother and father was born in Mexico. I can not understand why people can not just be proud of who they are and love one another as God intended. Much Respect to you Ria; Thomas

I'm noticing a bigger shift to class separatism over color separatism. It appears as though people are starting to notice that economics have always blurred the lines, and that education level and social class are really the determining factors in selecting a box to put oneself into. I say, to h*** with the boxes. Create your own standards and be flexible with the times.

I'm sure you can trace these attitudes to the American south where states had the "one drop" rule to determine your "blackness". I'd like to think we've moved beyond this kind of attitude, but I doubt it.
