Madonna Officially Adopts Twin Girls from Malawi
Madonna’s family is expanding by two!
Despite denying the rumors that she was planning to adopt more children, the singer has officially finalized the adoption of two four-year-old twin girls from Malawi.
The twins, Estere and Stella, were reportedly living in an orphanage in Malawi since their mother died a week after giving birth to them and their grandmother was unable to look after them.

Madonna took to Instagram and shared the photo of her twin girls:
I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family. I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time. Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love!
“After their mother died, the children were looked after by their grandmother, who could not fully provide for them, so they were taken into an orphanage," Malawi's judiciary spokesperson Mlenga Mvula told People.
"Madonna has been very close to Malawi. She has been involved in so many projects and is currently helping to expand the children's ward at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
So Madonna has been coming to Malawi frequently. So it is not unusual to people in Malawi at all. They know Madonna very well in terms of the high-profile work she has done for the community."
And let’s not forget that Madonna previously adopted David Banda and Mercy James in 2008 and 2009 respectively from Malawi too.
We hope the little girls enjoy their new life in America, and get on with their new brothers and sisters.
