Is there just ONE one and only for you?

Nearly 82% of American couples said they believe they have met the love of their lives according to some poll. So is there really someone tailor made for each one of us?

So many people usually have very many opinions about this topic of THE ONE. Some people feel that you would rather hold out and risk never finding The One than lead an ordinary life with Mr. Not-So-Right. To them most people give up this search too early and settle for the wrong match. Could this be the reason for such high divorce rates?

I remember my dad – obviously after having one too many – joked to my mum saying his soul mate is somewhere being mistreated by the husband just as my mum mistreats him. And trouble is, they may never find each other and live as happily as they were intended to be coz for all he knew, she could be in China.

However, other people feel that it is unrealistic to think you could find love with only one person because there are a variety of people who can match you for different reasons. Is thinking that there is just one person for you out there too far fetched? Well at times I tend to think it is. Assuming you found The One and something happened to him, does this mean you’d be destined to be alone for the rest of your life?

People fall in love with different people at different times in their lives and for different reasons. And to believe there is ony ONE true love would be kinda limiting. What if you never meet her? And if you are the kind of person that can’t even win the office raffle!, what chance do you have of spotting one person in millions?

I believe that love isn’t limited to just one opportunity. But if you get lucky and meet someone whom you feel is The One, Amen! I believe love is all about being with someone that brings you happiness. And that has happened to me quite a lot. May be subconsciously, I am still searching for The One

What do you think?

  1. Different people come into our lives at different times for different reasons. A real soul mate will mess you up. It isn’t about a happy ever after it’s a learning experience.
