How would you describe yourself?
Been here and back again. I thought about giving up on this site plus any future ones, but a good friend reminded me that life is an adventure that is to be savored, the highs as well as the lows. The tag line is because most people think I am gullible or as I trust too freely. My motto is, you are who/what you say you are until an event occurs that proves otherwise. I am too old to constantly worry about whether or not a grown person is where they say or doing what is right.
Ok, enough of that. Describing myself hmmm. I work in healthcare dealing mainly with geriatrics. I love my job as most of the time I hear something totally awesome from some of the people I see. So cute story time. I was working with a 96 year old gentleman who said he needed to get home because he had dogs at home he was worried about as well as a 17 year old son. I turned to him and said, "You're 95 and you have a 17 year old son? That means you were in your late 70's or early 80's having a kid." He quickly replied, "Honey I'm country. We go all the way to the end!" Priceless! I could not make this kind of thing up. The people I work with day in and day out, keep my faith in humanity and the overall decentness of human beings. Of course there are some son of a guns, but in my opinion, most folks mellow out with age.
So from there you can tell that I love the quirky and off beat. I'm also an avid reader, whenever I get a chance, as well as a hopeless romantic. I suppose that comes from all those fairy tales I read as a child where the prince comes and rescues the princess and they live happily ever after. No, I'm no princess and don't believe that this fairy tale guy exists. What I do believe, however, is there is this one amazing person out there for me and I've not met him yet.
I am looking for
I prefer to not throw out a laundry list of qualities. However, here is a list of what I don't want: someone not looking for a monogamous relationship (nothing is wrong with dating more than one person, as long as you give that up when there is a mutual agreement to an exclusive relationship). Liars, lazy, non motivated men who live with their parents still.
