How would you describe yourself?
Hi!
*My name is Gary and I am looking for a friend, more than anything*
About me:
I am a very caring person, I genuinely want every person to be okay and to prosper in life. I like to laugh and joke around. I enjoy teaching others new things and equally learning also. I feel like using the gift of humor can make any person feel good and laughter is like a natural cannabinoid for the brain. Without the smoke. Lol.
I have kids. I have not been the best Parent in my life, but I am making changes to do better as a person and as a Parent. I always am 100% honest about my intentions, my feelings and what I am looking for in relationships. I think transparency and honesty are very important within any relationship, no matter what type of relationship we are speaking about. I do my best not to judge others. Unless others are intentionally hurting others, then I voice my opinion. I believe only God can judge people and there actions.
*I am big on the concept of moral fiber*
Even though I am not perfect and I have made so many mistakes in my life.
Let's practice this sentence......"Gary, if you fall 9 times, get back up 10 times!"
Thank you my gracious AfroRomancers for the ongoing support....
I used to like watching tv, old Friends episodes and Seinfeld shows, now I have no tv. But I used to...
I used to train in Martial Arts 5 days a week and teach Martial Arts classes twice a week and I really enjoyed it! Now, I am broke as a joke.
I used to have a car and enjoyed driving around familiar areas.. No more car. Someone sold it. The memories of having a car are more significant than when I had a car.
I still have a cell phone tho. It's from 6 years ago. It typically dies at 35 percent battery power. But it's a Smartphone. Big ups.
When I get up from this bed, my bones creaaaaak and my joints pop due to having poor joint laxity. Is that normal......
On the plus side,I am still alive and do not need to pee through a straw. I am blessed.
I used to go to restaurants when I could afford it. I used to like chinese food, japanese food and steakhouses. Now I am a Jew of limited means , but I have a rich and unparalleled heart. I am army of one. Things could always be worse right!?
Funny fact: I tend to have conversations with myself out loud and also be the 3rd person and answer myself.....
Sad. I know.
I list the following five things as the most important things in life:
1. Health. If you don't have decent physical and mental health, how does a person type on AfroRomance......
2. Family/Includes friends. Friends and family give all of us the love and support that we need. No matter how mentally ill some of those people are. They mean well at times and sometimes provide Netflix logins and they may work if Netflix was not trying to circumvent the obvious issue of everyone wanting something for free......
3. Strong bonds/peace of mind. Now, the peace of mind concept is being okay with everything going as it is currently, or at least enough so to get up everyday and keep pushing and being productive. Also doing the things that you want to do in your life and those things make you reasonably happy. Remember to always give back to others.
*Reach one, teach one*
Important concepts here ladies. Put your Iphones down....
*Remember, just because a person is doing a lot, doesn't mean that a person is actually getting a lot done. There is a difference. Be mindful to not just walk in place at times. Have goals, work to achieve them. Having goals without taking action and consistency, are just dreams and they will only fuel disappointment.
4. Be open to failing. Fail BIG. Fail big in life, We all suck at different things. If we don't fail, we are not even trying. Think about what I just said. This number 4 revolves around admitting the things you failed at in life with someone else and just having the openness and comfortability to be able to do that.
Lastly 5. Adventure/Attitude of gratitude. I personally believe, that we get the most rewards in life by taking risks. I have taken many risks in my life. Some good and some bad risks. I really like controlled adventure at times and also spontaneous ones. That's just Gary. Learn to love him. lol. It's important for us as humans to always have an attitude of gratitude in life and for everything we have. It's by the grace of God that I have life and I can edit my profile right now.
Even if that means having no car, being poor monetarily and being a person of limited means.
My last words of wisdom. I hold this point very dear to me personally and it applies to my life....
To have something you never had, you have to do something you never did.
Amen!

I am looking for a genuine friend and then let's see what happens.
It take time to build anything. I am looking a relationship with reciprocity!
