I enjoy snowboarding, guitar, playing music in general, reading, cooking, volleyball, and hiking. I love new experiences! One way in which I find myself different is that I am constantly getting bored of my current situation and moving from one blank slate to the next, which is exiting! However, I also find myself missing all of the places and people of the past. I'd like to see myself growing roots and being satisfied with one home, one purpose, but I keep on leaving in search of something I haven't found yet. It seems to me that moving around allows me to grow faster as a person, so often I will choose the move if given the opportunity, but never without finishing what I started. I've just graduated from university and now I operate a painting company in Langley. For a more detailed description of me see below:
My adult life begins upon graduation of high school, and the beginning of what will become 4 year relationship. I spend a year in the university in my home town of Prince George, then I spend a summer treeplanting. At this job I become aware of how much of the world I haven't seen. Instead of returning to university that fall, I take off to Guatemala with the intention of learning Spanish and relaxing after an arduous summer of hard labour (I treeplanted for 3 summers). In Central America I begin a long journey of falling in love twice: Once for my ex, Second for the Spanish language and everything associated with it.
Once I return to Canada I find myself restless in my home town, and restless in a what's looking to be a long term relationship at such a young age. I transfer to Uvic. I spend a year there, then a year studying on exchange in Mexico (a great year) and then get accepted to the business program and return to Uvic again. At this point I finally work up the courage to break away from my long-term relationship, and find myself dealing with the aftermath during a rigorous course load. 2009 was not a good year.
I then spend my first co-op in a micro-finance internship in Nicaragua allowing me to combine my passion for the Spanish language and my business studies for the first time. A dream come true!
Next, I return to Uvic again, then complete my last semester of university on exchange in France, where I learned a lot of things (none of them being in school).
Upon graduation I make a split second decision to team up with a friend and start up a painting business in Vancouver. My dream is to eventually pursue a career which utilizes and develops my Spanish. After leaving my long-term relationship I had the opportunity to date a variety of different women, and although I'm not looking to get married any time soon, I am ready to find something more meaningful than just a fling.
My taste in music is pretty diverse (anywhere from folk to rap to electronic), but maybe I am inclined to like softer, acoustic, and bluesier than your average person. I listen to alot of music in foreign languages as well.
FAVORITE PASSTIME: random encounters with cool strangers. Finding the unexpected fun in every routine situation.
